Lifestyle Newborn Session and the Most Perfect, Sleepy Baby!
Newborn sessions have been nonstop this year! Add in some birthday sessions and maternity and I was definitely ready for a getaway with my kiddos spring break last week! Vacations with kids are somewhat exhausting. But armed with lots of coffee and better sleep, I was ready to hit the ground running as soon as we returned with back-to-back newborn sessions on Monday and Tuesday.
My first session of the week had the sweetest little guy that took it so easy on me. He was the perfect little angel that was nice and sleepy the entire session! I have not confirmed yet if he made his parents pay later in the day and was wide awake. His relaxed and sleepy vibe was much appreciated as I got back into the zone of work!
As I do with all Lifestyle+Wrapped newborn sessions, I started with the lifestyle portion first! We bop around the home; usually the nursery, master bedroom and sometimes living room to get all of those sweet cozy shots. We stop for feedings or whatever baby needs, add the family dogs into the mix and just go at a nice, relaxed pace. Because the little guy was so nice and sleepy, it made this portion run very smooth and we were able to get some of my favorite shots!
While I set up my traveling studio for the wrapped portion of the session, baby gets another feed and we generally have to do some rocking to get the little one back to sleep. Not this time, this little guy held strong and stayed extra sleepy so we could get those adorable, wrapped images.
A smooth session is the best way to kick off a busy week, and this little guy absolutely delivered! It was such a joy to photograph him and capture these early moments for his family. As always, I cannot wait for them to see their full gallery — but in the meantime, be sure to check out the sneak peek below for a little taste of what is to come! If you are expecting or have a little one on the way and are interested in booking a Lifestyle+Wrapped newborn session, I would love to connect with you!
