Capturing the Sweet Moments: Why Pittsburgh Lifestyle Newborn Sessions are a Must

What a whirlwind summer it has been! It started out in June when I met the family for todays blog post for their maternity session. They were the easiest couple to work with and get scheduled...or maybe the stars were aligned and what I had available just really did work for their schedule. Either way they had a beautiful evening for their maternity session in Mellon Park. You can see some of their session here!

Fast forward to July and a due date of the 1st. First babies are usually always a little late so I didn't worry to much when I didn't hear from the family that whole first week but when we got into over a week past the due date I had to check in. Sometimes moms forget to reach out...you are kind of busy taking care of a brand new baby! Well, that wasn't the case. Baby was nice and comfy and not ready to make an appearance yet. So I checked in the next week and still no baby! I feel like this may have been a first for me with a baby going two weeks past. Thankfully the parents had an induction date and baby girl finally made an appearance but even that sounded like quite an ordeal!

We finally got the family scheduled for their Lifestyle+Wrapped newborn session and it was such a relaxed morning. Baby girl was the perfect mix of extra sleepy and awake which made it easy to get some great shots of her looking at the camera. We used mostly the nursery for the session but also the spare room and a beautiful little nook in the living room. The family had an amazing array of plants (which I am always in awe when people can keep so many plants alive!) so we used the window filled with them as a backdrop for so many shots.

I am sharing some of my favorites from their session before I dig in fully and prepare their gallery.

Enjoy!
