Extended Family Photo Session - Phipps Conservatory

Extended family sessions are a great way to incorporate your entire family into a photo session; grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins. You name it and they are more than likely allowed to be part of your session! With an extended family session we focus on the entire group as well as individual families, groupings of siblings, cousins and everything in between. If you are wondering, these sessions make a perfect gift for parents!

Two years ago I was brought in to photograph a new family welcoming their twin boys! Fast forward one year and I was asked to do a first birthday session for them and now a year later I met up with the entire family for an extended family session that they gifted to their mom! It is never lost on me how truly lucky I am to find such amazing clients and I am always honored to be asked to essentially watch their family grow and document all of the phases of their life!

Having worked with this family for so long I knew the extended family session would be so fun and they did not disappoint. I absolutely love working with a family that isn't afraid to goof around a little bit and laugh throughout the session...even if I suggest some off the wall "poses".

We had a beautiful day at Phipps which is one of my absolute favorite spots for sessions in the city! It was a little warm but we made the most of it and took advantage of the array of backdrops this location has to offer.

While I am still working on culling through their entire session (around 600 images to go through!) I had to pull together some of my favorites.
